A revealing interview here with poet Hanif Willis-Abdurraqib on the sources of his poetry, and how he writes.  He strikes me as a vibrant man, alert and aware of everything going on around him.  He is not the first writer–and he won’t be the last–to praise The Wire, arguably the most influential television series of the last twenty years among intellectuals and artists.
